There is only one type of story in the world. Your story. — Ray Bradbury, Zen and the Art of Writing
In the spring of 1999, I made contact with a small, multi-media software company in West Kerry, where I had studied in 1996 and they happened to be looking for a software designer.
My consultancy contract was due to end in September of 1999 and so I planned to move over in October. I hired a removal company, had all my belongings packed up and headed across the pond.
The first year was the hardest, I suppose, though I didn’t feel like I had to make any huge adjustments. I was living in Dingle which had a very cosmopolitan feel about it for a town with a permanent population of just under 2000. There were people living there from all over the world in addition to its native population.
