The following galleries are of photos from hill walks we have taken over the past couple of years. Some are part of the National Loop Walks.
Not really a hill walk but a nice climb to a beautiful vista over Lough Hyne. The lake is unique in that it is fed by tidal currents of saline ocean water and so contains unique plant and animal life. There are the ruins of an O'Driscoll castle on the island in the middle. It is also said to be the home of the legendary King Labhra Loingseach. Lough Ine House, built by Lord Carbery as a hunting lodge in 1830 is on its shores. The lively town of Baltimore is nearby.
