The following galleries are of photos from hill walks we have taken over the past couple of years. Some are part of the National Loop Walks.
This is the Giant's Grave Loop Walk, named after a megalithic tomb said to be the burial place of the legendary warrior chief, Bladh, after whom the Slieve Bloom Mountains (Sliabh Bladhma) are named. It starts in the village of Cadamstown on the Silver River. We altered the original walk to take in the medieval ecclesiastical site dedicated to St. Lugna. NB: At the end are photos of nearby Seir Kieran and Birr.
