On Tuesday I received a Golden Bray Award for my volunteering at the Donkey Sanctuary:
This is the first year the award has been bestowed on a volunteer. Nominations for the award are submitted by the staff from the entire organisation (Ireland, the UK, and beyond) and the decision is made by the Donkey Sanctuary Staff Forum. Nominees are evaluated on how well they display Donkey Sanctuary values as outlined in the organisation’s strategic plan: Compassion, Collaboration, and Creativity.
It was a great honour to receive the award and I thank those who nominated me and all of the staff on the Irish farms. They make it easy to be a good volunteer.
